OUR GROWING PHILOSOPHY IS SIMPLY “ORGANIC”
Our process is all about creating growing conditions that mimic the optimal conditions found in nature. Sure, there are other more modern techniques that might make a product with simple eye appeal but here at Ottawa Innovations we strive for more! Our goal is to gain access to the full spectrum of benefits that our plants contain which allows our customer to “feel” and enjoy the true medicinal qualities offered from our flower. Here at Ottawa Innovations, we use both non- traditional gardening techniques from providing music to our plants along with traditional gardening techniques such as growing our plants in soil. Ottawa Innovations knows the most important medium you can provide a plant to reach its full potential is using nutrient rich soil; the living foundation for all plant life. Our soil allows our plants to develop the full spectrum of cannabinoids and plant constituents, creating the most robust and exceptional medicinal product available without the use of chemical fertilizers. All of these techniques and more provide an ideal and nurturing grow environment for our flower.

OTTAWA INNOVATIONS CANNABIS CULTIVATION
We take the health and wellbeing of all patients in the Michigan Medical Marihuana Program (MMMP) very seriously. Our passion at the Ottawa Innovations ELF grow facility is to provide our clients with the highest quality medicinal and adult use cannabis possible. We grow all of our flower using organic growing practices in soil, because these are the techniques that produce the highest quality medicine with the most robust terpene and cannabinoid profiles, with no toxins or bad side effects due to contaminated or impure additives. Our careful attention to details, to each plant itself, and to the soil as a living foundation is our growing philosophy. By providing the plants with care, attention and optimal conditions they create potent medicine as nature intended.

CULTIVATION

ORGANIC GROWING AT IT’S FINEST
As a result of my experience with forest soils, my cultivation of cannabis has always been in soil. This is how plants are supposed to live. In soil. Other more modern techniques might make a product that has eye appeal, but as it turns out, growing plants in soil that is alive makes the most potent medicine for the consumer. It’s all about creating growing conditions that mimic optimal conditions found in nature. Traditional gardening techniques which focus on building healthy soil bring out the best medicine. Living soil is full of microorganisms, fungi, and earthworms which in turn nourish the plants. The tiny soil creatures process building blocks in the soil, making it available to the plants. This in turn nourishes the plant. No chemical fertilizers are used, as these would destroy the life in the soil and would ultimately be ingested by the consumer. Techniques and processes used include compost teas, herbal teas, cover crops, music, and hand watering and more as we are always learning new things.
